[EN] It is very hard to choose a handful of locations (note that we haven’t been to all the countries in Europe), but we still have been to so many beautiful places and nature is pretty everywhere, and I wrote an article for a Moldovan website and here is an English version of it.
Lac de Montriond, France
The beautiful turquoise color of the lake, pretty strolls and free “pedicure” (there were some little fishes that would eat the dead skin from our feet) made our stay there very memorable. And the view is quite amazing!
Les Gets with the view to Mont Blanc, France
Who would have thought that you can get this view for free? We loved staying there, admiring the famous mountain, enjoying the sky at night …
There was also a bar not too far from there and we cooled ourselves with a Mont Blanc glass of beer (always know where the alcohol is).
Portugal, Gavinhos, Los Moinhos
I was mesmerized not only by the beautiful pink sky, but also buy the view to the village down in the valley, that created the illusion of little stars at night like a continuation of the sky.
Spain, Casares de Las Hurdes
360 degrees of amazing views! We loved it so much and enjoyed the walks, the clouds that were settling like a smoky wave.
Pella, Lago D’Orta, Piedmont, Italia
I loved swimming in this lake so much! we were parked for free very close to the lake and I would wake up in the morning, put my swimming suit and go straight into the transparent water. There were a couple of nice restaurants, but we haven’t been to any. We did try the gelato though, which is more than amazing! (and I am a very fussy dessert eater). You can also take a ferry to the San Giulio island, but we didn’t do that either. I just enjoyed swimming and eating ice cream!
Kocirz Rchwldzki, Poland
That was a cute picnic area near a small waterfall and we were going for walks and coming back after a hot day and dipping in the refreshing cold water. The sound of the waterfall was really soothing and it was a perfect place to paint and relax (and pick up mushrooms if you know what you’re doing. We obviously don’t, but saw people from time to time with buckets full of mushrooms)
Anywhere near the ocean in Portugal
We stayed in Portugal during winter time as it’s warmer, the ocean is gorgeous and the food and wine are very cheap!
Getaria, Spain
Balenciaga was born in this beautiful piece of heaven and it is no surprise that he found tranquility and inspiration in there. It is calm and beautiful. The specialty is barbecued fish, coming straight from the ocean, it was that fresh! It’s very close to San Sebastian (which I recommend as well for it’s pinxos served with a glass of wine)
Demanovska Dolina , Slovacia
During winter time, it’s a ski resort. We went there in September and it was gorgeous. Be careful with the bears though. One night I actually really thought there was a bear outside the motorhome. We heard an animal for sure, but was too scared to get down from the bed and take a peek!
I hope you enjoyed these views virtually and I will be back sharing more pictures and beautiful places in nature around Europe.
